Personal Anecdote

When I think of Real Oviedo, I’m reminded of their signing of former Liverpool and England striker Stan Collymore near the end of his career. If I remember correctly, the move didn’t work out too well for either the club or the player. Collymore had been a big name in English football, but his time at Oviedo was short-lived and didn’t quite live up to expectations. It’s one of those quirky, yet memorable moments in the club’s rich history that always stands out to me.
