The Estadio Ciudad de La Plata opened in 2003 and stands out as one of South America’s most modern stadiums. Originally designed with innovative engineering techniques, the stadium was further upgraded in 2011, including a retractable roof and expanded seating. It was officially renamed in honor of Argentina’s legendary football star, Diego Maradona, in 2020.
